Winter Tabletop Miniature Garden :-)

I planted this miniature center piece in a copper/ brass footed container that I inherited from my mother-in-law. I have been so busy at the shop that the only Christmas tree that I have at the moment is this tiny evergreen. And, the only fine china that I have out is the set on this tiny bistro set. I wonder if Santa will put the Christmas presents on our dining room table?

Winter is Arriving

Now that Fall is almost behind us Winter is nearing. It is my second favorite season. Things will slow down at the shop. I will start making homemade hot soups and bread and have time to make soaps, dolls, and such. Winter is also a time that I head down to Paris, TN. where things are nice and easy. I look forward to collecting little trinkets, having coffee with my sister and looking into the eyes of my dear mother as I listen to her speak. Life is good!

I have been bitten by the fairy bug. My mind is spinning with ideas. From formal uppity fairies, to laid back and relaxed fairies to forest fairies. They are flying out of The PURE Gardener as fast as they appear. There is something about them that is very therapeutic and wonderful. They bring smiles to the faces of woman, children and even young men that are my employees who say that they are "so cool".

Miniature tea sets- that remind me of my childhood- are now finding new homes and renewed life in miniature gardens of my customers. This is good. I am working on a forest fairy garden that I will keep for myself but will have on display at the shop. I may work in a little mediation spot. It will represent a happy place to me. A place that I can escape to.

Easy Whipped Shea Butter

Easy Whipped Shea Butter recipe from Bramble Berry Soaps

This is a great recipe that I love so much that I wanted to share. I use organic ingredients and essential oils. My favorites are rose, patchouli, and sandalwood.

Ingredients
14 oz Shea Butter
5 oz Coconut Oil
6 ml Cranberry Fig Fragrance Oil (or your choice)
Electric Mixer
4 ounce jars

Instructions
Combine all ingredients and whip for 6-7 minutes in an electric mixer on medium/high. Spoon into jars. That's it. You're done!

Easy, right? Who knew something great could come out of an afternoon of experimentation in the soap lab? I've been using it on my elbows and feet and totally love it!
